Mr. Fichera has practiced law for over thirty-five years in the areas of Personal Injury, Medical Malpractice, Estate Planning, Business, and Corporate Law, including Corporate Startups, Fundraising, and Marketing. He has traveled to over twenty-five (25) countries on behalf of clients and is well-versed in Business Management and Business Succession. Mr. Fichera has lectured and held seminars for other lawyers and laypeople in the areas of Personal Injury, Estate Planning, and Business Law.
Mr. Fichera was born in Philadelphia and grew up in Mount Airy’s West Oak Lane neighborhood. After attending St. Raymond’s Grade School, he attended High School at Malvern Preparatory School. He then went on to earn a Bachelor’s Degree in History from Villanova University. He followed that educational experience by earning a Master’s Degree in English from Villanova University, and his poetry was published in the Villanova Literary Magazine.
After teaching for three years in the Philadelphia School District, Mr. Fichera attended and graduated from Widener University School of Law, where he was on Law Review and the Moot Court Honor Society. During his attendance at Law School, Mr. Fichera also worked full-time at the Philadelphia City Solicitor’s Office, earning valuable experience in litigation and legal drafting as a Law Clerk.
Mr. Fichera is a member in good standing of the PA Bar. Since graduating from Law School, Mr. Fichera has continued his education by attending seminars each year and earning twelve (12) Continuing Legal Education Credits (CLE) in substantive law and in ethics as required by the Supreme Court of PA. He has served as an arbitrator for many years and presided over civil actions filed in the Court of Common Pleas of Philadelphia County and the surrounding counties of Bucks, Chester, and Montgomery, as well as counties across Pennsylvania.
Mr. Fichera has been an active member of several organizations, including the Pennsylvania Bar Association (PBA), the Philadelphia Bar Association, and the Montgomery County Bar Association. Mr. Fichera is a volunteer with the PBA’s “Wills For Heroes” Program, which provides free Construction documents to First Responders and Military Veterans in Pennsylvania, the Civics & Law Program of the Montgomery County Bar Association, where Judges and Lawyers teach Civics to Elementary, Middle and High School Students, and with Senior Law Center of Pennsylvania, Senior Law Helpline, providing legal assistance for the elderly. He is also a Child Advocate Representative for the Montgomery County Child Advocacy Project (MCAP) and involved with the PBA’s Mock Trial Competition for High School Students
Mr. Fichera is also a Member of the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC), which is dedicated to fighting bigotry and to seeking justice for the most vulnerable members of our society.
He is an active member of the Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity, International.
Mr. Fichera has assisted numerous Non-profit Organizations in rescuing animals, including retired Race Horses and Wildlife. These organizations are dedicated to saving animals from abuse and slaughter.
As a father, he has coached his two sons in baseball, soccer, and basketball for the Bustleton Bengals Club, a Non-profit Youth Athletic Organization.
With the experience and expertise in trial work, negotiations, and document preparation, Mr. Fichera can and will provide his Clients with legal services and counseling using a totally holistic approach to their legal problems.
