Kelly G. Williams is a native Mississippian and was born and raised in the Jackson Metro area. She received a B.A. in English from Belhaven College in 2003 and a J.D. from Mississippi College School of Law in 2006. She is licensed to practice law in all state and federal courts in Mississippi, as well as admitted to practice before the Fifth Circuit and the United States Supreme Court. Kelly has also had the privilege of arguing before the Mississippi Supreme Court.

Whether dealing with a serious criminal charge, a contentious custody battle, a personal injury matter, or an appellate matter, Kelly takes a creative and unique approach to serving clients, recognizing the need for case specific strategies. Whether a jury trial or bench trial, Kelly possesses the skills and knowledge for confidence in the courtroom. She is knowledgeable and practices in a variety of areas of the law including General Civil Litigation, Family and Children, Criminal Defense, Personal Injury, Construction and Probate. Kelly’s mission is to provide client focused, high quality legal services with integrity, professionalism and respect for clients, the community and the judicial system. She takes a genuine interest in understanding client objectives in order to meet or exceed expectations. For her clients, she will work hard, provide superior legal services on a timely, effective and efficient basis, while maintaining the highest standards of professional integrity.

Recognizing the existence of significant issues facing children and families in the Child Welfare arena, Kelly took a special interest in this area of law early on in her career. Kelly has served as a Special Judge, presiding over delinquency matters, as well as abuse and neglect proceedings. She has also served as a Guardian Ad Litem, representing children in both an attorney-client fashion, as well as in a best interest role. Kelly is currently appointed to represent parents in abuse and neglect proceedings and is a family defender.

Kelly was the first attorney in the state of Mississippi to be certified as a Child Welfare Law Specialist by the National Association of Counsel for Children (NACC). This title of distinction requires, among other things, an applicant to pass a rigorous certification exam. The NACC Certification Program is the only program approved and accredited by the American Bar Association to certify attorneys as Child Welfare Law Specialists. Millions of children are the subjects of judicial proceedings each year as victims of abuse and neglect; juvenile offenders; subjects of custody, visitation and adoption proceedings; and as participants in civil damages litigation. NACC recognizes that the adversarial system works best when all interested parties are competently represented and one of the goals of the NACC is to improve the lives of children and families through competent representation to ensure that judicial proceedings produce justice.
