Firm Summary
Attorney Brittany Cohen’s construction practice focuses on helping families enhance their lives today and secure their futures tomorrow. She excels in guiding her clients through the often confusing maze of financial and legal decisions to create plans that ensure the well-being of their families and the accomplishment of cherished family goals. Her considerable legal expertise includes family protection, wealth preservation, and values-based planning, as well as planning strategies for unmarried couples and divorced individuals. Whether you are married or single, with a traditional family or blended one, just starting out or looking back on a life well-lived, Brittany will help you to craft a plan that achieves your goals for your loved ones today and for years to come.
Brittany graduated in the top 6% of her law school class from Thomas Jefferson School of Law. After graduation, Brittany opened a firm with a colleague from law school, where she represented those who have been wrongfully injured by the negligence of others as well as defending individuals who have been sued by debt collection companies. After several years litigating matters on behalf of individuals, Brittany decided to open Peaceful Warrior Law Firm, PC to focus on meeting the construction needs of the underserved middle class families and small-to-medium sized business owners in California.
Ultimately, Brittany has chosen to concentrate on the Trusts and Estates area because she is passionate about helping families create happy and secure futures.
Most importantly, Brittany has made it her mission to prevent families in California from having to suffer the pain many families have to go through when a loved one passes away without an effective Estate Plan that works when you need it. She was inspired by her friend’s story whose father had passed away with what he thought was an effective Estate Plan. Consequently, her friend and his mother had to spend close to 3 years in probate court and $55,000 on a probate attorney and 7 years winding up a business his mother was not prepared to run… all because the Estate Plan his father believed he had in place before his passing was not effective. That’s why Brittany is so passionate about making sure her clients create customized plans that will actually work when they are needed most.
